Façade Maintenance Engineer

Job title: Façade Maintenance Engineer

Location: Enfield, UK

MPM is looking for three (3) Façade Maintenance Engineers to join our team in Enfield, UK. We specialise in repair and preventative maintenance of aluminum windows, doors, curtain walling, commercial entrances and rainscreen systems across Greater London and the Home Counties. As a subsidiary of a leading construction services group that traces its heritage back to the late 19th century, MPM offers the most reliable range of services in the fenestration industry.
     
 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inspecting and reporting on door and window/glass installation in preparation for component replacement.
  • Removing and replacing existing frames and correcting issues from prior installations carried out by others.
  • Fitting of handles and vents & carrying out adjustments to windows and doors on new build housing sites
  • Installing associated hardware, including locks, cylinders, and handles/gasket.
  • Installing new windows and doors to meet code requirements.
  • Replacing damaged DG units.
  • Understanding and correcting glazing techniques to ensure correct operation of windows and doors.
  • Completing on-site inspection for installation.
  • Rectifying problems, suggest solutions, or arrange for repairs to be made.
  • Working with multiple systems including Schuco, Reynaers and Kawneer
  • Ensuring that tools and vehicles are properly stocked and maintained.
  • Undertaking product repair and installation on client premises.
  • Interacting with clients to solve their issues.
  • Carrying out Customer Care works within occupied houses/buildings.
  • Providing important link between customers and sales/marketing.
  • To adhere to all Health and Safety polices, risk assessments.
  • Ability to work at heights where required, including powered access solutions
  • Following all FORS procedures & regulations on a daily basis
  • Ability to create detailed dimension sketches when required.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous work experience in a similar field is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in façade maintenance engineering.
  • Previous experience of carrying out written reports/surveys, via an electronic device.
  • CSCS, PASMA, IPAF 3B Certifications. (Are preferable)
  • Have a technical and practical mindset.
  • Having excellent mechanical skills.
  • Being able to work alone or with a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and customer service skills.
